This is just a quick little post to give a shout-out to our newest addiction – Tagged. We’re not sure how we found this place (maybe an anonymous email?) but we checked it out and now we’re hooked! You can share photos, videos, and make slide shows, post in a journal, make quizzes, and talk to other doggies. So far we’ve seen Ruby, the Dogs of Jackman Ave, Freda the Delta Bunny, the Brat Pack and Clover. By the way, we weren’t asked to write a post about them or anything. We just think it’s fun so we wanted to share it. So don’t be shy and come and say hello to the fleasgang and you too can be an addict

We haven’t had an installment of “Around the House” in a few weeks so for this week, I’m going to show off a few of our favorite flowers that are in bloom right now.

This first one is a Day Lily that is absolutely gorgeous. It’s been patiently waiting to get planted for almost 2 weeks and we’re happy to announce that it finally found it’s forever home shortly after this photo was taken. It now resides in a bed next to our front door. Oh, and the flowers in the background are actually overflowing from one of two very large concrete planters that we have. They’re pretty too

This too is a Day Lily and I think it’s neat because of all the ruffles.

And lastly, these are called “Black-Eyed Susan” – because of the dark centers I presume. We also have one with purple petals and a dark green center that is called “Green-Eyed Susan”.

And to set the record straight, I am not the one in the family with the green-thumb. My main contributions to the flower beds are watering and hauling bags of top soil around for the expert (Judy). But I do cut the grass!

Hey pups! This is Shelly signing in. We know we’ve been away for quite some time, but it is summer so we’ve been pretty busy. Now for a quick update on what we’ve been up to. As every good doggie knows, a couple of weekends ago was Pop’s day. So our Pop had his parents (and brother and sister-in-law) over to celebrate. So you know who we get to play with when GrandPop and Grandma come to visit don’t you? That’s right – Maggie!! This is only the second time that she’s come to visit us and we really like her. We all begged for BBQ and veggies together but we didn’t even get a taste. Can you believe it. Grandma ALWAYS sneaks us a nibble but Pop got to her first and made her behave :-(. The day went way to quickly and before we knew it, we had to say “bye” to Maggie. Come back soon Mags, we miss you!

Here’s Simon holding down his little bed. He pretty much just lounged there all day but did manage to get up long enough to show Maggie the perfect place to make a poo in the backyard.

Where’s Scarlett and why aren’t we in any photos together you may ask? Well, as usual our pawrents didn’t think to get the camera out until the party was almost over. They can be sooo slack. So Pop just snapped a couple of photos at the last minute and didn’t think to get us all together. And Scarlett was fast asleep by then I overheard Mom and Pop talking about going to the Lake next weekend so maybe we’ll get to tag along. I’ll remind him to bring the camera Shelly, signing off.

Can’t you smell that smell? Not any more! The Fleas Gang got a package in the mail the other day from the cool people from some place called “Febreze“. And in it, was a sample bottle of doggie air freshener (is someone trying to tell us something?), a super stylish bandanna and a doggie carrying case that is just Scarlett’s size. Isn’t that sweet!? So are some pics of us trying out our swag.

Most doggies don’t know that we starred in an episode of “Lost” during season two but somehow the suits at the network misplaced it so it never aired – until now. An intern doing some filing at ABC inadvertently stumbled across it and we got our paws on it. Enjoy!

Candi gave each of us these cute awards (along with a bunch more well deserving doggie bloggers) and we just wanted to say thank you!

On a side note: Our Mom & Pop just purchased something called a “laptop”. Not sure what that means but we love laying on their laps too! Anyway, it’s called an orange, or banana, or apple or something like that. Anyway, they’re still re-learning how to use one and hooking stuff up, so they just want you guys to forgive them for not visiting as often in the next few days. And apparently all our photos are on the other magic typer so we can’t even post our beautiful faces until they get downloaded. Again, whatever that means. And Pop can’t wait to get his hands on some video!
